Ghana and Pakistan strengthens defence ties following high-level talks in Accra
The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has hosted the High Commissioner of Pakistan to Ghana, Naheeb Durrani, for talks aimed at deepening defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Defence's Square, focused on identifying areas of mutual benefit and strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the defence sector.
Both sides discussed avenues for collaboration, capacity building, and knowledge sharing.
They agreed to formalise their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Defence Cooperation in the near future.
According to the Deputy Minister, the proposed agreement is expected to enhance military cooperation, training exchanges, and broader strategic engagement between Ghana and Pakistan.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy, Mr Noor Nabi.
