The Traders Advocacy Group Ghana (TAGG) has expressed deep sorrow over the fatal helicopter crash that claimed the lives of several high-profile Ghanaians, including government ministers and military personnel, on August 6, 2025.

In a statement issued on 7 August, TAGG described the tragedy as “one of the most devastating in Ghana’s history”, plunging the nation into “deep mourning.”

The organisation extended condolences to the bereaved families, the Government, and all Ghanaians, noting the exceptional service and national commitment demonstrated by the deceased.

“Ghana has lost visionary leaders. They will be forever remembered,” the group stated.

TAGG, which represents traders across the country, made an interfaith appeal, urging Muslims and Christians to unite in prayer for the souls of the departed and for strength for the grieving families.

The group also called on the government to conduct a full and transparent investigation into the crash to rule out foul play and help prevent future tragedies of this nature.

“Government must act swiftly to uncover the cause and put safeguards in place,” the statement emphasised.
