Police hunt 3 Mpraeso SHS students over alleged gang rape incident
The Kwahu Nkwatia Divisional Police Command in the Eastern Region are on a manhunt for three male students from Mpraeso Senior High School in the Kwahu South Municipality, who are suspected of raping a female student on Sunday, October 13.
The three students are part of a group of eight allegedly involved in the incident.
While five of the suspects have been arrested and are set to be arraigned in court, police are intensifying efforts to capture the remaining three, who are still on the run.
The victim has received medical treatment and has been discharged from the hospital.
She is currently undergoing counselling, the police said.
In response to the incident, the school’s management has expressed full cooperation with the ongoing investigation, assuring that the situation is under control.
