GA/R: Weija-Gbawe MP encourages BECE candidates during centre visits

Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Member of Parliament for Weija-Gbawe Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, has reaffirmed his commitment to education by visiting several Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) centres within the constituency on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
A total of 4,513 candidates from both public and private schools are participating in this year’s BECE in Weija-Gbawe.
During his tour of the examination centres, Mr. Shaib interacted with candidates, offered words of encouragement, and expressed confidence in their potential to excel.
“You are the future leaders of this country. Focus, believe in yourselves, and give it your best,” he told the students.
The MP also took time to observe the conduct of the exams and commended the efforts of teachers, invigilators, and supervisors for maintaining a professional and orderly environment.
He lauded the Ghana Education Service and all stakeholders involved in ensuring a smooth and fair examination process.
“The dedication of our teachers and education officers is commendable.
Their hard work makes a real difference in shaping these young minds,” he noted.
He wished all the candidates success in the exams and encouraged them to remain disciplined and determined throughout the process.
