North Tongu MP celebrates its first aerospace engineer

North Tongu Member of Parliament in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa is celebrating a historic achievement as Miss Alice Dziwornu becomes the Constituency's first aerospace engineer.
Ms Alice, an exceptional scholar, graduated with first-class honours from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on Friday, marking a significant milestone for the community and women in STEM fields.
Ms Alice's academic journey was made possible through the North Tongu MP’s Scholarship Scheme, which provided full sponsorship for her undergraduate studies.
In recognition of her achievements, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu has offered Alice a full scholarship to continue her education with a master’s degree, supporting her aspirations to work with Boeing and inspire young girls in rural Ghana to pursue STEM careers.
The MP shared a touching memory of Alice’s mother, who, five years ago, expressed fears that her daughter’s education might end after her father’s passing. The MP assured her that “with God, there is hope,” and is delighted to see his scholarship programme contributing to Ms Alice’s success story.
In a field traditionally dominated by men, Ms Alice’s achievements stand out.
Her dedication and excellence not only pave the way for her future goals but also position her as a role model for young girls in Ghana.
The North Tongu MP extended heartfelt congratulations to Ms Alice, expressing his pride in her remarkable journey and gratitude for her inspiring the community.
