Offinso North MCE pledges educational support as he distributes maths sets to BECE candidates

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Offinso North Municipal Assembly in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Ceasar Ofosu Acheampong, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving education and driving development across the municipality.
Speaking to the media during the distribution of 1,650 mathematical sets and pens to Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates, Mr. Acheampong stated that the Assembly, under his leadership, remains dedicated to supporting young learners.
“We are determined to support every brilliant student.
Those who excel in the BECE will be considered for scholarships to pursue their secondary education,” he said.
The MCE also used the occasion to encourage candidates to approach the exams with confidence and integrity, cautioning them against engaging in any form of examination malpractice, popularly known as apor.
“Believe in yourselves, stay focused, and avoid shortcuts.
Hard work and honesty will take you far,” he advised.
The items were distributed to candidates across the municipality, ahead of the examination scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Students and teachers from Akumadan D/A and Methodist JHS, speaking on behalf of all recipients, expressed their gratitude to the MCE for the timely support.
They assured him of their readiness to make good use of the learning materials and achieve success in the upcoming exams.
