Yaw Anim reaffirms commitment to education; supports 400 fresh SHS students in Kumawu

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu in the Ashanti Region, Ernest Yaw Anim, has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting education in the constituency, assuring that no child will be denied schooling because of financial hardship.
Speaking at a ceremony in Kumawu, Mr Anim presented trunks, chop boxes, exercise books, school bags and cash to 400 first-year Senior High School students.
The initiative is designed to ease the financial burden on parents and inspire students to pursue excellence in their studies.
“This is my promise to you and your families,” he said.
“Education is a powerful tool, and I am determined to ensure that our brilliant students receive the support they need to succeed.”
He urged the students to remain focused on their studies, emphasising that the support provided would only be meaningful if they were dedicated to learning.
“Your commitment in the classroom is the best way to honour the trust and investment being made in you,” he added.
Parents of the beneficiaries expressed profound gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would relieve many families struggling to meet educational expenses.
Education officers in the area commended the MP for his practical approach to supporting learning, stressing the importance of local leadership in nurturing human capital.
The initiative forms part of Mr Anim’s broader agenda to improve educational outcomes in Kumawu through scholarships, learning materials, and mentorship programmes for bright but needy students.
“This is just the beginning,” he noted.
“Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and I am committed to making that a reality.”
