19 senior police officers promoted and decorated

Nineteen senior officers of the Ghana Police Service have been promoted to new ranks in a ceremony held in Accra, marking a major milestone in their professional careers and reaffirming the government's commitment to enhancing leadership within the Service.
The decorated officers were recognised for their dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service to the nation.
The promotions span various ranks within the upper echelons of the Police Service and are part of efforts to build a more effective, motivated, and strategically focused security force.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Interior Mohammed Muntaka Mabaric emphasised the importance of strong leadership in addressing Ghana’s evolving security challenges.
He urged the newly promoted officers to lead with integrity, discipline, and a renewed sense of duty.
“These promotions are not just rewards for past performance—they are a call to greater responsibility in safeguarding our nation and upholding the highest standards of law enforcement,” he noted.
The government has reiterated its resolve to equip the Ghana Police Service with the necessary tools, training, and leadership to maintain law and order across the country.
