C/R: 10 -year- old boy found dead in a lake at Gomoa Nyanyano

A 10-year-old boy, believed to be Nurudeen, was found dead in a salt production lake on the outskirts of Gomoa Nyanyano in the Gomoa East District Central Region on Wednesday.
Clothes and slippers were discovered along the lakebank, suggesting he may have deliberately entered the water for a swim—a common activity among local children.
This incident marks the second fatality in less than a month linked to the lake.
An unverified eyewitness reported that the child was not initially visible on the surface until a group of young fishermen retrieved him using their net.
Additionally, an off-record source, identified as the boy’s brother from Policeman City, a suburb of Gomoa Nyanyano, stated that the child left home yesterday and was found lifeless this morning.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
