Former Chief Justice challenges dismissal from Supreme Court

Former Chief Justice, Mrs. Gertrude Araba Torkornoo, has filed a review application at the High Court to contest her removal as a Justice of the Supreme Court.
In her application, she contends that the President acted beyond the powers granted under the 1992 Constitution by issuing a removal warrant that simultaneously stripped her of her positions as Chief Justice and Supreme Court Judge.
