Akufo-Addo is touching every part of Ghana with hospital projects - Ofosu Nkansah

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, has praised President Akufo-Addo's efforts in ensuring that every part of Ghana benefits from the government's Agenda 111 hospitals project.
In a Facebook post on Thursday, November 28, Nkansah commended the President for his determination to deliver developmental projects to all districts across the country.
He contrasted President Akufo-Addo’s inclusive approach with that of former President John Dramani Mahama, who he claimed focused primarily on constructing a few large hospitals in Accra while neglecting the rest of the regions.
Nkansah argued that the Akufo-Addo government has been committed to expanding healthcare facilities nationwide, with the Agenda 111 hospitals representing a significant milestone in Ghana’s infrastructure development.
According to the NEIP CEO, this initiative is a clear demonstration of the President’s dedication to improving access to healthcare for all Ghanaians, regardless of their location.
The NEIP CEO further stated that President Akufo-Addo's government has made substantial progress in building these facilities since taking office, with numerous hospitals already completed and more on the way.
Mr Nkansah also highlighted the importance of these projects in helping to absorb excess liquidity in the economy and supporting economic stability.
"On which President did better with providing Health Infrastructure, President Akufo-Addo has ensured every District is getting a Hospital whereas Fmr Prez Mahama built 3 or 4 big Hospitals in Greater Accra if we even grant him UGMC which is a Prez Mills project."
"Some People in Accra will draw conclusions based on 4 facilities in Gt. Accra when one President is touching every part of the country. The difference is not even close," he posted.
His comments come at a time when the Akufo-Addo administration continues to tout its achievements in the healthcare sector, while also facing criticism from some quarters about the pace of the construction and the distribution of healthcare facilities.
