President Mahama pledges completion of Western Regional Hospital within 18 months

President John Dramani Mahama has assured residents of Apemanim in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region that the Western Regional Hospital Project will be completed within the next 18 months.
The hospital project, which commenced in 2022 under the previous administration, was only 27 percent complete when the current government assumed office.
During an inspection tour of the construction site, President Mahama noted that with the foundation work now completed, the pace of construction will accelerate to ensure the project is delivered on schedule.
The Chief of Lower Dixcove, Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX, used the occasion to appeal to the President to address the poor road network in the area.
In response, President Mahama reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the region’s infrastructure under the government’s “Big Push” programme.
He disclosed that the Ministry of Roads and Highways has earmarked GHS30 billion for the initiative, which seeks to enhance connectivity by constructing at least 10 kilometres of new roads annually across key towns and cities in the Western Region.
President Mahama reiterated that the completion of the hospital and the improvement of road infrastructure form part of the government’s broader agenda to promote equitable development and quality healthcare delivery for all Ghanaians.
