Yaa-Naa intervenes in Tamale Teaching Hospital doctors’ strike

The King of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Abukari II, has stepped in to help resolve the ongoing strike by doctors at the Tamale Teaching Hospital in the Northern Region.
In a significant show of leadership, the Yaa-Naa has dispatched a high-powered delegation to the facility to engage both the hospital's management and the striking medical professionals.
The delegation, which arrived at the hospital earlier today, is currently locked in a closed-door meeting with stakeholders as part of efforts to broker a peaceful resolution to the impasse.
The intervention by the revered traditional leader comes amid growing concern over the impact of the strike on healthcare delivery in the Northern Region.
Sources close to the palace say the Yaa-Naa is deeply concerned about the situation and is committed to ensuring that patients are not denied access to critical medical care.
Details of the meeting are yet to be disclosed, but expectations are high that the King's involvement will help calm tensions and pave the way for a swift resolution.
