A delegation of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), led by the Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Council of Elders, Mr. Danny Anang, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon. Nene S.B.B. Carboo, a founding member of the party and its first Greater Accra Regional Chairman.

The visit was to commiserate with the bereaved family and honour the memory of the late statesman, who played a pivotal role in the formation and growth of the NDC in the Greater Accra Region following the party’s establishment in 1992.

The late Nene S.B.B. Carboo also served as the Member of Parliament for the Ningo–Prampram Constituency.

Party elders recalled him as a humble, dedicated, and exceptionally generous individual who provided critical financial support to the NDC during its formative years, helping to lay a strong foundation for the party’s activities in the region.

Mr. Danny Anang and members of the delegation, made up of the MP for Ningo-Prampram, Samuel Nartey George, Sylvester Mensah, CEO of Exim Bank, among others, paid glowing tribute to the late former MP, describing his contributions to party organisation, unity, and development as enduring and worthy of remembrance.

The delegation offered prayers for the peaceful repose of his soul and extended their sympathies to the family, encouraging them to take pride in the legacy he left behind.

Hon. Nene S.B.B. Carboo’s contributions to Ghana’s democratic journey and to the NDC, particularly in Greater Accra, remain a significant chapter in the party’s history.
