NDC is a peaceful party; we don’t need violence to win the Akwatia seat –Osman Ayariga

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Mr Osman Ayariga, has said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remains a peaceful party that does not believe in violence as a means to secure political victory.
The party's National Deputy Youth Organiser made the remarks while campaigning in the Akwatia Constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election.
Mr Ayariga assured constituents that the NDC’s candidate, Mr Bernard Bediako Baidoo, would win the seat on the strength of the party’s policies and vision, not intimidation or conflict.
“The NDC is a peaceful party. We don’t need violence to win in Akwatia. What we need is your support, your trust, and your vote,” he told supporters.
He called on the youth in particular to resist attempts by anyone to incite them into acts of aggression, urging them instead to focus on issues of development, job creation, and better opportunities for the constituency.
“Let us show that politics is about ideas, not fighting. Akwatia must lead by example,” he added.
Mr Ayariga further encouraged residents to participate fully in the electoral process, stressing that the NDC’s message of resetting Ghana under President John Mahama would deliver the social and economic transformation the constituency deserves.
