NPP has Lost Its relevance, we are here to provide a credible alternative- Afia Korankyewaa

Deputy Director in charge of Field Operations for the United Party (UP), Miss Afia Korankyewaa, has asserted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has lost its political relevance and that the United Party is ready to offer Ghanaians a more credible and results-driven political alternative.
According to her, the UP is poised to take over the political landscape by introducing a fresh style of leadership anchored on transparency, accountability, and policies crafted to reflect the real needs and aspirations of the Ghanaian people.
Afia Korankyewaa further challenged the NPP to take legal action if the party believes it has legitimate grounds regarding its recent claims against the United Party.
She stated that should the NPP fail to proceed to court, it would amount to an admission that its allegations hold no merit.
Speaking on the Citizen Show with Dr. Desmond Enock Kofi Annan, on Saturday, 18th October 2025, she stressed that the current United Party would rather offer the NPP unconditional amnesty, signalling a new approach to political engagement focused on unity and forward-looking governance rather than retaliation.
She emphasised that the UP’s mission is not just to replace the NPP, but to restore confidence in Ghana’s political system by offering meaningful solutions and a dependable leadership alternative.
