The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira in the Central Region, Mr. Patrick Fiable, has dismissed allegations circulating on social media suggesting that he misappropriated funds from the District’s Disability Common Fund.
Speaking in an interview with Samuel Nana Tawiah after appearing before Parliament’s Select Committee on Local Government, Mr. Fiable clarified that the claims are false and misleading.
He explained that the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report, which triggered the allegations, covers activities that took place under the previous NPP administration—long before he assumed office.
According to him, he was confirmed as DCE on April 17, 2025, and therefore, any issues raised in the 2024 report cannot be linked to his tenure.
“The matters cited in the Auditor-General’s Report predate my administration.
It is unfair and inaccurate to associate them with my leadership,” Mr. Fiable stated.
He urged residents to disregard the false rumours and instead rally behind the Assembly’s development agenda, emphasising that his focus remains on transparency, unity, and progress in the district.
“My mission is to bring meaningful development to Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira and to leave behind a legacy of integrity and transformation—not controversy and division,” he added.
Mr. Fiable reaffirmed his commitment to accountable governance and called on the public to verify information before spreading it, noting that misinformation only distracts from the collective goal of improving lives in the district.
