Education Ministry hails UDS football team for reaching World University Games final

The Ministry of Education has congratulated the University for Development Studies (UDS) football team for qualifying for the finals of the ongoing 2025 World University Games, describing the achievement as a remarkable milestone for Ghana.
In a statement issued by the Ministry, the Honourable Minister praised the team’s success as a shining example of what discipline, resilience, hard work, and teamwork can achieve.

The Ministry further noted that UDS’s qualification has brought immense pride and honour to the nation and stands as an inspiration to young people across the country.
It also emphasised that the achievement reflects Ghana’s growing potential on the global sporting stage.
The Minister expressed optimism that the team could crown its journey with gold, stressing that such a victory would not only uplift Ghana but also serve as an inspiration for Africa.
According to the Ministry, the Honourable Minister has accepted the challenge to rejuvenate sports development across second-cycle institutions, colleges, and universities, encouraged by the UDS team’s feat.
