GFA sets date for resumption of GPL

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the resumption of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) across the country.
The Ghana Premier League will resume with Matchday 23 on the weekend of Friday, March 7, to Monday, March 10, 2025.
The resumption is subject to the safety and security assurance inspection of all venues currently being undertaken by the GFA and the Ministry for Sports and Recreation.
With the training of stakeholders on the Enhanced Matchday Safety and Security Protocols 2025, a document originated mainly from clubs, the Football Association has announced the return of Premier League football following widespread engagement with all relevant stakeholders.
The outstanding Premier League fixtures for Matchday 20, 21, and 22 have also been announced by the Football Association.
The fixtures for Matchday 20 has been fixed for Tuesday March 18 to Thursday March 20, Matchday 21 will take place across approved venues on Tuesday April 1 to Thursday April 3 with Matchday 22 fixtures slated for Tuesday April 15 to Thursday April 17, 2025.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will take on Sekondi Eleven Wise in an outstanding MTN FA Cup match on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
The Football Association encourages the full cooperation of all relevant stakeholders including the Ghana Police Service in maintaining safety and security at all match venues as we look forward to an exciting continuation of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League season.
