Ministry of Foreign Affairs dominates 2025 Civil Service games

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has emerged as the overall champion of the 2025 Civil Service Games, sweeping multiple accolades across a range of sporting disciplines.
To celebrate this outstanding achievement, the sector Minister, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, hosted a special awards and recognition reception in honour of Team MFA.
The Ministry claimed top honours in football, tennis, arm wrestling, and table tennis, and also bagged several individual awards, including Most Valuable Player, Best Female Goalkeeper, Golden Boot, and Best Coach.
Speaking at the event, Minister Ablakwa commended the team for their outstanding performance, describing it as a proud moment for both the Ministry and the nation.
“It’s truly remarkable to witness this confirmation that beyond diplomatic brilliance, Ghana’s career diplomats possess incredible versatility, agility, and an infectious team spirit,” he said.
He praised the athletes for embodying excellence both on and off the field, highlighting their ability to balance professional obligations with physical discipline and teamwork.
The Civil Service Games, held annually, bring together staff from various government ministries and agencies in a spirited display of athleticism, camaraderie, and national pride.
This year’s edition saw fierce competition, but the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stood out for its depth of talent and unity.
Minister Ablakwa urged the team to maintain their winning momentum and continue representing the Ministry — and Ghana — with honour in all arenas.
“Let’s keep winning for God and Country,” he said, beaming with pride.
