Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Ghana international Mohammed Kudus will be out of action until April after being diagnosed with a tendon injury to his quadriceps, dealing a significant blow to both his club and national team.

The forward picked up the injury earlier this month during Spurs’ home fixture against Sunderland, collapsing without any contact and being forced off after just 19 minutes. Although early indications suggested the issue was not serious, subsequent medical examinations revealed a more severe injury than initially anticipated.

Tottenham head coach Thomas Frank provided an update on Kudus’ condition, confirming the length of the expected layoff.

“Kudus, unfortunately, is a bigger one to the tendon in the quad. That is one where we expect him back after the March international break,” Frank said.

Kudus’ absence comes at a challenging period for Tottenham, who have struggled for attacking consistency this season. The Ghanaian has been among the club’s most dependable attacking options, offering speed, creativity, and penetration from wide positions. He has recorded seven goal contributions in the Premier League so far this campaign.

The injury is also a concern for Ghana, with the Black Stars’ technical team closely monitoring his recovery ahead of upcoming international fixtures. Kudus remains a central figure in the national team setup, and his rehabilitation will be carefully managed to ensure a full and safe return. He will not be in action for the friendly against Germany ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Tottenham have emphasized that Kudus will undergo a cautious recovery programme, with a return to competitive action expected after the March international break, provided his rehabilitation stays on course.
