Ghana’s inflation rate for August 2025 has dropped to 11.5 percent, beating the government’s end-of-year target of 11.9 percent.

Government Statistician Dr Alhassan Iddrisu announced this at a press briefing earlier today, Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Dr Iddrisu noted that food prices remained the main driver of inflation, with the Ashanti, Greater Accra, and Eastern Regions contributing the most.

The Upper West Region recorded the highest inflation, while Bono East posted the lowest.

Dr Iddrisu, also, urged government to remain committed to its fiscal consolidation programme to achieve single-digit inflation by the end of the year.
