Mahama 'invested so much' in Mercy Little Smith's recovery: Kwame Dzokoto mourns
TV and advertisement star Kwame Dzokoto has greatly mourned the passing of his "dear" colleague Mercy Little Smith.
Though the cause of Mercy Little's demise is yet to be communicated, Dzokoto said she "fought so well" to overcome "this health condition".
He indicated the news of her passing would come as "a shock" to President-elect John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
"He wanted you to overcome it. So when he heard the news about your condition, he invested so much [in] your bills. Just [so you can] survive it," Dzokoto explained.
"We are shattered," he exclaimed in lamentation.
"Life is like a stage play and you've played your part," the actor and comic consoled himself.
"Ghana will always remember you on your memorable performances and the impact you've made on film and culture as an actress," he eulogised in conclusion on his Facebook timeline.
Mercy Little Smith was popular for her portrayal of Benyiwaa in the hit TV series Efiewura. Eenyiwaa was the wife of a character played by Dzokoto.

She had Liberian roots but was raised by a Ghanaian family she loved dearly in Takoradi, from where Dzokoto also rose to national fame.
Mercy Little was 43.
