OB Amponsah: Comic star laments 21.9% tax on upcoming show
Multiple award-winning comic and media personality OB Amponsah has greatly lamented a tax charge on his upcoming event.
On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Optometrist cum creative indicated, from all calculations he was not going to make any profit from the event, making the taxation even more painful.
He was resolute, however, assuring patrons of the upcoming event at the Bukom Arena there would be no cancellation no matter what.
He added ticket refunds were possible if that became necessary eventually.
“Charlie, Ghana Revenue Authority - Official is charging me a whopping 21.9% on ticket revenue for my show on Saturday at the Bukom Arena,” OB announced on his timeline.
“I am not even going to make any profit out of this event.
“We will still have a celebration on Saturday regardless. Kindly show up in your numbers.
“If push comes to shove, we may have to refund everybody and settle with a free non-taxable show because this is just strangling.
“See y’all on Saturday, 21st December at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
“Love you guys.”
