When the Nigerian was approached by ESPN UK to name football's greatest players of all time, he did not hesitate to namedrop France's Kylian Mbappe, and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I know everybody is expecting me to say Messi..." he joked.
"Messi is hard," he admitted, using a slang word for 'awesome', but hesistating to add the Argentine to the list.
Rema thought for a while, considering who would be best for his third pick, and after the suspense, declared, "I'll say Messi, man."
The 25-year-old smiled.
The Calm Down hitmaker was asked who was popping into his mind as he thought about the question.
"Man, I really was a huge fan of Tevez, man," he responded.
"Especially when he was in Man U. Then he went to Manchester City."
According to Rema, Tevez won his heart because of how instrumental he was in the PlayStation (PS) 2 video game.
"At the time, I was heavy on PS2, man. I love Tevez. In mean, in the PS2 days, you could shoot the shot from the middle [of the field] if you were playing PS2," the singer-songwriter explained.
His interviewer agreed, noting that Brazilian Adriano Leite Ribeiro was so good on Pro Evo, he felt like a cheat code.
"Literally," Rema reacted, bringing up Germany's Bastian Schweinsteiger, too.
The interviewer excitedly commended Rema, who had affirmed he was a Manchester United fan, for being so knowledgeable about the game.
