Spotify has released its Global Impact List for the first half of 2026, ranking the most exported Ghanaian songs based on international streaming performance.

The initiative offers a snapshot of Ghana's evolving position in the international music ecosystem. The latest rankings reveal a shift in the country's global music story from a breakthrough period driven by emerging stars and standout records to a new phase defined by sustained audience growth, strategic collaborations and deeper international connections.

MOLIY extends global run

Leading Ghana's 2026 exports is MOLIY, whose global momentum continues to build. After topping the 2025 rankings with ‘Shake It To The Max (FLY) – Remix’ featuring Shenseea and Skillibeng, the singer returns this year with two entries.

First gaining global attention in 2021 through Amaarae's international hit ‘Sad Girlz Luv Money’, MOLIY has scored widespread success with her appearance on Jamaican producer Rvssian’s ‘What I Like’,  which also features guests Ayetian and American rapper Tyga. She earns another entry with PARTYGYAL, a collaboration with bees & honey.

MOLIY's continued presence on the Global Impact List has also now established her as one of Ghana's most visible female artists worldwide.

Black Sherif maintains international stamp

Also perpetuating his global mark is Black Sherif, whose 2026 entry ‘PopStar’ has clinched global hit status. Last year, the singer accounted for more than 10 tracks on the list, largely buoyed by his chart-topping sophomore album IRON BOY.

From breakthrough to expansion

Last year, Ghana recorded 30 entries on Spotify's Global Impact List, notably highlighting an exciting crop of blooming voices reaching audiences beyond the country's borders, particularly Olivetheboy, Lasmid, AratheJay, Gyakie and Jubed. This year, the data points to a continuation of that momentum, with artists who established international visibility in 2025 strengthening their global presence through new partnerships.

King Promise, who featured on last year's list with ‘All Over You’ featuring Mabel, returns with two collaborations alongside Nigerian artist Mr Eazi, namely ‘That Way’, which samples US pop band Backstreet Boys’ 1999 classic ‘I Want It That Way’, as well as ‘Mariana’.

Lasmid, who appeared on the 2025 rankings with ‘Olivia’ also returns through his collaboration with KiDi on ‘Signature’.
