2025/2026 Ghana Police recruitment exercise begins peacefully nationwide
The 2025/2026 Ghana Police Service recruitment exercise has commenced across the country in a peaceful and orderly manner, as authorities seek to recruit qualified and competent personnel to enhance national security.
In the Central Region, five screening centres have been designated for the exercise.
These include Winneba, Cape Coast Jubilee Park, Cape Coast Fire Service, and two centres located at the Ankaful Ghana Prisons Yard.
The Director-General in charge of Technical, Commissioner of Police (COP) Dr Shaibu Padi Gariba, said the ongoing screening and documentation process is being conducted in a transparent and applicant-friendly manner.
According to him, the Police Administration is committed to ensuring that the recruitment exercise is free from intimidation and harassment, while providing a conducive environment for prospective recruits.
COP Dr Gariba added that an Information Technology (IT) team has been deployed to collate and verify applicants’ data to ensure that only qualified and deserving candidates are recruited into the Service.
He further noted that basic refreshments, including water and biscuits, are being provided at the centres to help ease the tension of applicants during the screening process.
The Ghana Police Service has reiterated its commitment to a fair and credible recruitment process as part of efforts to strengthen professionalism and capacity within the Service.
