Felix Kwakye Ofosu says GRA acquired portion of GBC land without compensation being fully settled

Minister of State for Government Communications and government spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has disclosed that about five acres of land belonging to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) were acquired by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) during the previous administration.
His comments come amid concerns over alleged encroachment on lands owned by the state broadcaster.
According to Mr Kwakye Ofosu, the acquisition was carried out through an informal arrangement, with assurances that compensation would be paid to GBC.
He, however, noted that the compensation issue has not been fully resolved.
The minister said he intends to pursue the matter in Parliament to ensure that GBC receives the compensation due to it.
He stressed the importance of protecting state assets and ensuring accountability in the management of public lands.
