Ghana Education Trust Fund disburses GH¢199m to settle FSHS and TVET supply arrears
The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has issued three cheques amounting to GH¢199,471,691 to clear outstanding payments for perishable goods supplied to schools.
The funds will settle arrears owed to suppliers under the Free Senior High School programme for the October to February period, as well as payments due to Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions for October through December.
The disbursement underscores government’s resolve to meet its financial commitments to service providers responsible for food supply and logistical support within the two education programmes.
It is expected to reduce the financial burden on suppliers and help maintain a steady flow of essential perishable items to students across beneficiary institutions.
GETFund says it will continue to prioritise prompt payments and work closely with stakeholders to improve the delivery of education services nationwide.
