Ghana Tourism Authority hosts dinner for diaspora to celebrate December in GH

The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has hosted a special dinner with the diaspora community as part of the December in GH celebrations.

The event, held at a local venue, brought together distinguished guests, members of the diplomatic corps, and esteemed members of the Ghanaian diaspora.

In her speech, GTA Chief Executive, Mrs. Marilyn Maame Efua Houadjeto, welcomed guests and highlighted the significance of the event, saying, "Tonight presents more than a formal gathering.

It is a moment of homecoming, a celebration shared, a celebration of shared identity, shared purpose, and the enduring bond between Ghana and her global family" 

Mrs. Houadjeto quoted Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, emphasising the importance of African identity and unity.

She also acknowledged the contributions of the diaspora to Ghana's growth, particularly in tourism, creative arts, and cultural exchange.

The December in GH celebrations aim to reconnect the diaspora with Ghana's culture, people, and opportunities.

The event featured cultural performances and an opportunity for guests to mingle and enjoy Ghanaian hospitality.
