Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie takes Leave; Justice Gabriel Pwamang to act as Chief Justice

The Office of the Acting Chief Justice has announced that Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie will be away from duty from Monday, August 18, to Thursday, August 28, 2025.
In his absence, His Lordship Justice Gabriel Pwamang, the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, will serve as Acting Chief Justice.
A circular issued by the Office of the Acting Chief Justice and copied to all levels of the judiciary, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, High Court, and heads of divisions and units within the Judicial Service, to confirm the arrangement.
The notice was also shared with members of the Judicial Council, the General Legal Council, and the Acting Judicial Secretary.
Justice Baffoe-Bonnie assumed the role of Acting Chief Justice following the suspension of Justice Gertrude Torkornoo earlier this year, pending the appointment of a substantive Chief Justice.
