The Governing Board of Directors of the PSC Tema Shipyard has conducted a working tour of the facility to acquaint itself with operations and assess its current state.

The delegation was led by Board Chairman George Sipa Yankey, who indicated that the visit was aimed at gaining first-hand information about the company’s operations and challenges.

During the tour, the Board underscored the strategic importance of the shipyard, describing it as the largest shipyard and drydock facility in the sub-region.

The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to revitalising the institution and positioning it as a key player in Ghana’s maritime and industrial development.

Dr. Yankey also referenced the vision of Ghana’s first President, Kwame Nkrumah, noting that the facility remains a symbol of the country’s industrial ambition.

He further expressed confidence that the administration of President John Dramani Mahama would support efforts to sustain and strengthen the shipyard under its broader reset agenda.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to reposition PSC Tema Shipyard as a competitive and viable enterprise within Africa’s maritime sector.
