Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has summoned Parliament to sit on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, after 48 Members of Parliament petitioned for an emergency sitting to scrutinise a series of major narcotics seizures linked to Ghana including the 3.9-tonne cocaine bust at France's Port of Dunkirk.
A notice issued by the Office of the Speaker said the House will convene at 12 noon.
Though the notice did not state the specific business for which Parliament has been recalled, Class FM sources from the house say the recall comes after the MPs formally petitioned the Speaker to reconvene as the House is currently on recess, citing the need for them to discuss the infamous narcotics seizures.
