President Mahama hosts high-level dialogue with Organised Labour today at 6 PM
President John Dramani Mahama is holding a high-level Presidential Dialogue with Organised Labour today, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6 PM at the Jubilee House.
The engagement aims to address critical national issues affecting public sector workers and the broader labour market.
The meeting, convened on behalf of the President by Dr Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President, provides a structured platform for frank and solution-oriented discussions between government and labour representatives.
Key topics include public sector salary reforms, pension sustainability, and other pressing labour market concerns.
The Presidency described the dialogue as part of the government’s wider economic stabilisation and reform agenda, seeking to build consensus around reforms that are fair, transparent, and financially sustainable, while safeguarding worker welfare and social justice.
This engagement underscores Ghana’s tradition of social partnership and constructive dialogue between government and Organised Labour.
Labour unions and other relevant stakeholders were requested to confirm their participation and nominate representatives for the discussions.
President Mahama is expected to use the forum to strengthen collaboration with labour groups as the government advances its reform programme.
