Tutors of the Ho Nursing Training College have staged a protest to demand the immediate release of their campus facilities currently occupied by the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) Dave Campus, citing severe infrastructure challenges affecting teaching and training.

According to the tutors, several appeals have been made to the management of the University of Health and Allied Sciences to vacate the facility, but the requests have not yielded any positive response.

They say the continued occupation of the Dave campus has significantly disrupted academic activities at the nursing training college, limiting access to essential facilities needed for effective training of students.

The tutors noted that the situation has placed considerable pressure on available infrastructure and is negatively impacting the quality of nursing education at the institution.

As part of the protest, the teachers called on the government and James Gunu, the Volta Regional Minister, to urgently intervene and ensure the facility is released to enable normal academic work to resume.

A petition outlining their concerns was presented to management authorities.

Receiving the petition on behalf of the school, the Head of Works, Ruth Worladem Ayitey, assured the tutors that their concerns would be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for consideration.
