Weija Dam Spillage: 1 out of 5 gates opened to spill excess water
The Ghana Water Company Limited has opened one out of five spill gates at the Weija Dam to discharge excess water from the dam.
A resident has expressed frustration and disappointment in government, lamenting the lack of support for children in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality who struggle to cross the river whenever the dam is spilled.
Speaking with the leadership of the Tetegu Development Association, they indicated that the spillage began yesterday and expressed satisfaction with how officials of Ghana Water are managing the exercise.
