90 suspects arrested in connection with Ehi police station mob attack to appear before Ho Magistrate Court 1 today
Volta regional police command to arraign 90 suspects arrested in a joint police and military swoop at a Ehi in connection with the recent police station attack and vandalism today.
A joint police and military swoop arrested 191 suspects at Ehi dawn on Wednesday.
The arrest came at the back of the murder of Sabla Julius during a confrontation between two men over alleged girlfriend issues.
The deceased Julius Sabla, trying to separate the two guys fighting, met his untimely death.
Following his death, the suspect, Kofi Agbavitor, who stabbed him at the neck, rushed to the Ehi police station for refuge.
The Aggrieved youth of the community followed him to the police station, resulting in a violent clash between the youth and the police, where the properties of the police station were destroyed.
Out of a total of 191 suspects arrested,101 have been granted bail after screening, while 90 are set to appear before the court today.
The Public Relations Officer of the Volta regional police command, Chief Inspector Francis Gomado, confirmed this to Class 91.3 FM news
