The Ghana National Fire Service in the Kwahu West Municipality has cautioned drivers, hotel operators, and traders to strictly adhere to fire safety measures ahead of this year’s Kwahu Easter celebrations.

Speaking to the media, the Municipal Fire Commander, Samuel Mante, emphasised the importance of prioritising safety to prevent potential fire outbreaks during the festive period.

He noted that the annual event attracts large crowds, making it critical for hospitality facilities, commercial operators, and communities to observe established safety protocols.

Mr. Mante advised hotel operators to ensure their premises are equipped with functional fire extinguishers and that emergency exits remain clearly accessible at all times.

He also encouraged management to train staff in basic fire safety practices to effectively respond to emergencies.

The Fire Commander further urged commercial drivers to equip their vehicles with fire extinguishers and other essential safety tools, stressing the need to comply with road safety and fire prevention guidelines to protect passengers and other road users.

He added that the Service will intensify inspections and public education campaigns as part of efforts to ensure a safe and incident-free Easter celebration in the municipality.
