The Mobile Money Advocacy Group Ghana has honoured the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, for what it described as the Ghana Police Service’s commitment to combating crime through intelligence-led operations.

The group presented a citation and 100 packets of Special Ice bottled mineral water to the Ghana Police Service in recognition of ongoing efforts to tackle armed robbery and related crimes across the country.

Presenting the items, President of the group, Mr Edward Agyemang Ofori, commended the Police Administration for recent operations that have led to the arrest of suspected armed robbers and the prevention of several robbery attempts nationwide.

According to the group, the gesture was meant to encourage the Police Service to sustain its operations and continue protecting citizens, particularly mobile money vendors who are often targeted by criminals.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Police Administration, IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno expressed appreciation to the group for the recognition and support.

He assured the public that the Police Service would continue to intensify intelligence-led operations and work closely with communities to rid the country of criminal elements.
