Police declares 'bonking' Arabic teacher wanted over alleged defilement in Sekondi
The Western Regional Police Command has declared a man identified as Sule Anas, an Arabic teacher, wanted in connection with alleged defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.
According to a police statement signed by Superintendent Olivia Et Adiku, Head of Public Affairs Unit in the Western Region, the suspect is said to have been employed by community leaders to teach Arabic to children on weekends.
Police investigations indicate that he allegedly lured the victims into a storeroom within a mosque under the guise of conducting spiritual cleansing, where the offences were reportedly committed.
The suspect is currently on the run, with a warrant for his arrest issued on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, by the Gender Court in Sekondi.
He is described as fair in complexion and approximately 5.7 feet tall.
Security agencies say intelligence suggests he may have fled to either Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.
The police have urged the public to provide any credible information on his whereabouts to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), the nearest police station, or via emergency numbers 191 or 112.
Authorities say efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice.
