Mr Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the CEO of the National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP), has praised the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government for what he describes as the best record in education in Ghana's history.

He believes the government's education policies, particularly the Free Senior High School (SHS) initiative, have transformed the sector and widened access for students across the country.

According to him, these policies have enabled thousands of young Ghanaians to pursue education, which would have otherwise been inaccessible to them due to financial constraints.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, September 26, he emphasised that the government has made significant strides in infrastructure development across educational institutions.

He pointed to the construction and rehabilitation of classroom blocks, dormitories, and other essential facilities in schools as proof of the administration's commitment to improving the quality of education in Ghana.

These improvements, he argued, ensure that students can learn in more conducive environments, fostering better academic outcomes.

He also highlighted the government’s focus on expanding technical and vocational education (TVET).

According to Nkansah, this strategic shift has not only provided students with practical skills to thrive in the job market but also addressed the growing demand for skilled labour in the country's industrial sectors.

He argued that TVET expansion is a major pillar of the government's efforts to create employment opportunities and reduce youth unemployment.

Mr Nkansah noted that the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration's education policies have created a legacy that will benefit future generations.

He urged Ghanaians to recognise these achievements and continue supporting the government's efforts in ensuring sustained development in the education sector.
