BioMex, in collaboration with the German Development Cooperation, has opened applications for Cohort 2 of the BioMex Certificate Programme. The fully funded, internationally recognised upskilling initiative is targeting professionals, recent graduates, and aspiring innovators in Ghana's biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.

The deadline for submission of applications is 10 July 2026.

Flexible and Tailored Learning

Delivered in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH’s "Strengthening the Ghana Pharma Sector Focusing on Vaccine Production" (PharmaVax Ghana) project, the programme features 26 modules divided across six thematic competence clusters. It utilizes a flexible model, allowing participants to select specific modules that align directly with their unique career goals and existing skill sets.

The six thematic clusters available to applicants include:

- Biotechnology & Biomedicine

- Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Technology

- Innovation Management and Intercultural Cooperation

- Facility, Energy and Environmental Management

- Health Care and Smart Medical Technologies

- Compliance and Risk Assessment

Programme Benefits and Funding

Successful applicants will receive full funding for their participation. Beyond a custom-tailored curriculum, graduates will earn an internationally recognised certificate and gain entry into the international BioMex alumni network.

The PharmaVax Ghana initiative is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. The programme operates as part of the broader Team Europe Initiative Manufacturing and Access to Vaccines, Medicines and Health Technologies in Africa (MAV+).
