In an effort of community support initiative, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Klottey Korle Constituency of the Greater Accra Region distributed 1,000 brand new school bags to students on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
The exercise, which was personally overseen by the Constituency's Vice Chairman, Julius Neequaye Kotey, targeted selected basic schools within the area.
The beneficiary schools included Khyriatu Islamic School, Amugi Primary School, Manhean 5 JHS, Calvary Methodist School in Adabraka, St. Barnabas Anglican School, and Salem 5 & 6 School.
In a statement following the distribution, the party framed the gesture as a direct investment in the future of the youth. "We understand the challenges many families face, and by providing these essential learning tools, we hope to ease the burden on parents and encourage every child to pursue their education diligently," the Vice Chairman stated, reflecting the party's foundational belief in education.
The initiative was met with appreciation from the receiving schools, providing essential support to students and their families.
The NDC Klottey Korle constituency executives reiterated their commitment to the welfare and development of all constituents and urged parents, guardians, and teachers to continue their vital role in guiding the children, whom they described as "future leaders."
