Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang unveils ICT facility at Sankana cluster of Schools
Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has commissioned a fully furnished ICT facility at the Sankana Cluster of Schools in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, aimed at improving access to digital learning for pupils.
The facility, which is air-conditioned and equipped with modern computers, connectivity and learning tools, is expected to support ICT education, particularly for girls within the school cluster.
Teachers and pupils at the school expressed appreciation for the intervention, noting that access to practical ICT learning had previously been limited, especially for students of the Girls Model School.
Speaking to the media, the District Chief Executive for Nadowli-Kaleo, Mary Haruna, said the project goes beyond infrastructure and is intended to create opportunities and promote innovation among young people.
According to her, the facility is designed to help bridge the digital divide and strengthen teaching and learning of ICT across the schools.
Education stakeholders also indicated that the centre is expected to improve digital literacy and encourage more girls to pursue studies and careers in science and technology.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts by the Vice President to expand access to quality education and promote inclusive participation in Ghana’s digital development.
