Ashanti Regional RCC embarking on the clean -up exercise in CBDs
The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has undertaken a massive clean-up exercise in the Central Business District(CBDs) of the Kumasi metropolis as part of efforts to ensure a cleaner city.
The exercise, held in commemoration of Independence Day, was accompanied by patriotic songs and saw participants unclogging gutters and sweeping major streets, including Manhyia and Alabar.
The initiative, aimed at removing filth and debris, brought together various stakeholders, including Zoomlion Ghana, security agencies, Senior High School students, Kumawood actors, and other community groups.
Speaking during the event, Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, urged residents to prioritize cleanliness and announced plans to strengthen the role of Environmental Health Officers to ensure that individuals who litter are held accountable.
