Defence Minister announces major enlistment drive into GAF

The Minister for Defence, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has announced that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is set to embark on a major recruitment drive that will see the enlistment of thousands of officers and soldiers in the coming weeks.
Dr. Boamah, in a statement on his Facebook wall, encouraged eligible Ghanaians seeking meaningful and stable careers to take advantage of the upcoming opportunity.
“If you're looking for a stable career with purpose, this could be your chance,” the Minister emphasised.
The Minister also provided an update on the ongoing processing of applications from earlier recruitment exercises.
According to him, only applicants who successfully passed the rigorous screening—including what he described as “thorough surgical and profoundly revealing investigations”—are being contacted to move forward in the process.
Unsuccessful applicants are also being formally notified of their status.
Dr. Boamah further revealed that a fresh round of enlistment into the Officer Corps of the Ghana Armed Forces will begin shortly, alongside an open recruitment exercise for prospective soldiers.
He urged interested individuals to stay alert for official announcements regarding application procedures, eligibility criteria, and timelines.
“The Ghana Armed Forces is offering you the opportunity to serve your country with honour.
Stay tuned for application details,” he added.
More details are expected to be released soon through the Ministry of Defence and the official GAF communication channels.
