The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) has been selected as one of the national training centres for the Government of Ghana’s flagship Adwumawura Programme, an initiative under the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) aimed at promoting youth entrepreneurship and job creation.

Announcing the development, Executive Director of GNACOPS, Obenfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, described the partnership as a “major milestone” in the Council’s mission to position education as a key driver of innovation, entrepreneurship, and national development.

“This partnership signifies a new phase where education serves as a pathway to business creation and youth empowerment,” Mr. Gyetuah stated.

He explained that through the Adwumawura Programme, GNACOPS will support young Ghanaians to build entrepreneurial mindsets, leadership capacity, and innovation skills necessary for job creation and sustainable business growth.

The official registration and orientation for participants began today at the GNACOPS National Secretariat.

The training will cover modules in business development and financial literacy, digital entrepreneurship, innovation management, marketing strategies, and leadership excellence.

Participants will also receive mentorship and coaching from experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts to help transform their innovative ideas into viable businesses with real economic impact.

Reaffirming GNACOPS’s commitment to national development, Mr. Gyetuah emphasised the Council’s continued support for government efforts to develop human capital and strengthen Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“Together, we are creating a future where the youth of Ghana are not merely looking for jobs but are becoming job creators, innovators, and agents of change,” he said.

The Adwumawura Programme is one of NEIP’s flagship initiatives designed to build a generation of empowered, self-reliant young entrepreneurs who can contribute to Ghana’s economic transformation.
