Interior Minister calls for stronger partnerships in national security architecture

The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, has called for renewed collaboration and strategic focus within Ghana’s security sector, as he opened a two-day workshop organised for key leadership within the Ministry.
The workshop, hosted by the Ministry of the Interior, brings together newly appointed Ministerial Advisory Board Members, Board Chairs, Heads and Deputy Heads of Agencies under the Ministry.
It aims to enhance coordination, review existing programmes, and build a shared understanding of institutional operations and performance.
In his opening remarks, Minister Muntaka emphasised the crucial role played by the Ministry and its agencies in safeguarding internal peace, ensuring public safety, and upholding law enforcement across the country.
“As we face evolving security challenges, we must forge stronger partnerships and adopt a problem-solving mindset,” the Minister stated.
“The task ahead demands urgency, discipline, and foresight.
Our work is vital to maintaining a peaceful and safer Ghana.”
He urged participants to treat the workshop as a strategic platform to reflect on the Ministry’s vision and develop implementable strategies for institutional effectiveness.
“This is an opportunity to build shared clarity, foster renewed partnerships, and drive actionable progress,” Mr. Muntaka added.
