Monday Sept 22 is a holiday, says Gov't

Monday, September 22, 2025, has been declared a holiday by government via the Ministry of the Interior.
This was communicated via a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak.
"The general public is hereby informed that Sunday, 21st September 2025, marks Founder’s Day,which is a Statutory Public Holiday," the statement opened.
"However, in view of the fact that 21st September 2025 falls on a Sunday, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Ghana, has, by Executive Instrument (E.I), in accordance with Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601), as amended, declared Monday, 22ndSeptember 2025, as Additional Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country," the statement explained, in conclusion.
