A/R: Manso Adubia NDC roots for Addo, Animuonyam as Chairman, Secretary
The rank and file of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Manso Adubia Constituency of the Ashanti Region, have thrown their weight behind two energetic and dedicated party loyalists, Kwadwo Addo and Samuel Asante (Animuonyam), as they seek to occupy the positions of Constituency Chairman and Constituency Secretary respectively.
The two aspiring executives have been described by party members as “grassroots commanders” whose unwavering commitment, loyalty, and sacrifices have contributed significantly to the growth and strengthening of the party within the constituency over the years.
According to many party supporters, particularly at the grassroots level, the future of the NDC lies in the hands of its youthful and dynamic members.
They believe the emergence of the two young leaders will inject fresh ideas, strengthen party structures, and position the constituency for greater political success.
Both aspirants have served the party diligently in various capacities and are widely regarded as experienced and capable leaders.
Samuel Asante, popularly known as Animuonyam, for instance is a former parliamentary aspirant and currently serves as a Youth Member of Parliament for the Manso Nkwanta Constituency in the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) Parliament.
He is also a Branch Secretary and served on the party’s Communication Team during the 2024 General Election.
In a formal declaration of his intention to contest for the position of Constituency Secretary, Mr. Asante stated that his decision was inspired by a deep commitment to the ideals of the NDC and a vision to build a more efficient, transparent, and inclusive constituency secretariat.
“I am writing to formally notify members of the National Democratic Congress in the Manso Adubia Constituency of my intention to contest for the position of Constituency Secretary,” he stated.
According to him, the office of Constituency Secretary plays a critical role in the effective functioning of the party at the local level and extends beyond routine administrative responsibilities.
“As a dedicated party member, Branch Secretary, former parliamentary aspirant, member of the Communication Team during the 2024 General Election, and a transmitter during the elections, I possess the requisite experience and expertise to serve effectively.
“Currently serving as a Youth Member of Parliament for the Manso Nkwanta Constituency in the Youth Empowerment Consortium (YEC) Parliament and as a proud constituent of Manso Datano, I pledge to provide practical and principled leadership anchored on courage, vision, pragmatism, and integrity,” he said.
Mr. Asante outlined his key priorities to include improving institutional efficiency through modernized record-keeping systems, ensuring effective communication between the constituency executive and party members, strengthening party structures through regular meetings, and intensifying grassroots mobilization efforts.
“Fully aware of the demands and responsibilities associated with this position, I am committed to advancing the interests of the constituency secretariat and helping to build a stronger and more united party.
“Let us work together, and let us win together,” he concluded.
Supporters of both Kwadwo Addo and Samuel Asante remain optimistic that their leadership will usher in a new era of unity, growth, and electoral success for the NDC in the Manso Adubia Constituency.
